👋🏾 Hey, Colleague

This page is here to support our shared work.

It outlines my scope of practice, core competencies, and how to refer clients who would benefit from structured, values-affirming coaching.

If you’re looking for a trusted provider to support integration, implementation, or relational growth — you’re in the right place.

I offer non-clinical coaching and education that supports clients alongside or after therapy — especially in the domains of health behavior, relational design, and day-to-day integration.

Scope of Practice

I do not diagnose, treat, or provide therapy.

My work is present-focused, collaborative, and entirely client-led.

You can review my full Scope and Core Competencies document (PDF) anytime.

My practice is grounded in certifications in:

  • Primal Health Coaching (behavior change, lifestyle systems, ancestral nutrition)

  • Mental Health First Aid Instruction (non-clinical mental health response)

  • Dietary Supplement Education (non-prescriptive support and compliance coaching)

  • Cannabis Wellness Advising (harm reduction and titration coaching)

  • Consensual Non-Monogamy Coaching (relational education across diverse frameworks)

How Coaching Supports Client Progress

Coaching can support clients with:

  • Lifestyle and behavior change follow-through
  • Health routines that consider energy, executive function, and capacity
  • Cannabis use tracking and education (especially for neurodivergent clients)
  • Relationship planning, agreements, and communication skill-building
  • Sex-positive support around consent, embodiment, and exploration
  • Systems design for daily life that aligns with therapy goals

All coaching is affirming, autonomy-respecting, and guided by harm reduction, consent, and social-context awareness.

The Mindful Passions Approach centers consent, autonomy, and integration — not compliance or prescriptive models.

Ethics & Professional Standards

Mindful Passions is guided by a clear and comprehensive Code of Ethics to ensure every client receives safe, respectful, and affirming support.

Our ethics align with the standards set by:

  • ICF and NBHWC coaching codes

  • AASECT ethics for sex-positive professionals

  • Mental Health First Aid and trauma-aware care

  • IPHM, and NCSF CNM/kink-aware guidelines

We prioritize:

  • Client safety, dignity, and autonomy
  • Clear scope boundaries — no diagnosis or treatment
  • Informed consent for all sensitive topics (e.g., cannabis, sexuality, trauma)
  • Non-discrimination across gender, orientation, culture, and relationship style
  • Boundary clarity in all relational or sexual health discussions
  • Trauma-aware and referral-forward practices when clients need clinical care
  • Legal compliance around cannabis education and supplement safety
  • Ongoing professional development, supervision, and reflective practice

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you provide treatment for mental health conditions?

No. Coaching at Mindful Passions is non-clinical. I do not diagnose, treat, or provide therapy.

When clinical needs arise, I refer out or collaborate — with the client’s consent — to support appropriate care.

What kinds of issues do clients bring into coaching?

Common goals include:

  • Staying accountable to routines or relational changes

  • Exploring non-traditional relationships

  • Navigating sex, consent, or embodiment

  • Building systems that match energy, capacity, or how they think

Clients are not in crisis — they’re building on work they’ve already started.

How do you handle confidentiality?

All client information is kept private and secure. I only share information with explicit written consent or when legally required.

Sensitive topics — like sexuality, gender identity, cannabis use, or relational structure — are always approached with informed consent and respect.

How is this different from therapy?

Therapy often focuses on insight, healing, or trauma work.

Coaching focuses on applying that insight to daily life — through structured support, behavior change, and values-led routines.

Will you coordinate care if needed?

Yes. With client consent, I’m happy to coordinate care and stay in the loop.

You’re welcome to email, consult briefly, or request general updates about a referred client’s coaching engagement.

What’s your availability like?

Live coaching availability is seasonal and may be limited depending on current client load.

Asynchronous coaching (via secure written exchange) is more consistently available and works well for clients who prefer flexibility or slower pacing.
